Breaking news from the BBC web site: It is said that the correspondents of British broadcasting corporation has learned that the US is being prepared for going beyond “economical sanctions” and working on plans to strike Iran. No confirmations yet (and I doubt if there will be any) but it is very clear that creating a further chaotic atmosphere in the Middle East is the “best” strategy for Bush administration and Neocon think tanks. After eliminating the clumsy Democrats’ move at Senate, AEI/PNAC fed Neocon strategies planning a new step that is to create probably the largest “crisis” of the 21st century.

Interestingly, no one seems to be aware of, or taking serious the danger in America: Any time there may suddenly appear some “surprising” events that could drive the country in an unprecedented turmoil, overshadowing 2008 elections and help to justify some “police state” reorganization processes. A “national security” based “concerns” that would to be pumped by the mainstream media could help to justify possible “suspending of rights and liberties” very soon. My predictions don’t have a bright picture of America (and the world, of course because when America sneezes the entire world gets flu) and I am afraid we are about to see the “harbingers” by the end of this year or early 2008. Now, let’s read the BBC story:

US contingency plans for air strikes on Iran extend beyond nuclear sites and include most of the country’s military infrastructure, the BBC has learned.

It is understood that any such attack – if ordered – would target Iranian air bases, naval bases, missile facilities and command-and-control centres.

The US insists it is not planning to attack, and is trying to persuade Tehran to stop uranium enrichment.

The UN has urged Iran to stop the programme or face economic sanctions.

But diplomatic sources have told the BBC that as a fallback plan, senior officials at Central Command in Florida have already selected their target sets inside Iran.
